Binder Park Zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and is a member of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA). We are dedicated to providing excellent care for our animals, a great experience for you, and a better future for all living things.

Binder Park Zoo is home to many Species Survival Plan (SSP) animals. SSPs are coordinated efforts between all AZA-accredited zoos to improve the genetics and survivability of threatened and endangered species.

Animal Play Days

Visit Binder Park Zoo on any Animal Play Day and witness first hand how our hardworking Zookeepers keep the animals active and happy. Play days are a perfect way to see the different types of enrichment given here at the zoo and to learn more about these amazing animals.

Carb-Free Enrichment Day
September 24, 2017 (Sunday)
Humans are not the only ones that watch their carbs!  Some animals here at Binder Park would find a meatball more delicious than a peanut butter sandwich.  Enjoy in the excitement as these carnivores attack their enrichment.

Harvest Day
October 7, 2017 (Saturday)
As fall approaches, the animals join in the fun too!  Piles of leaves, corn stalks, pumpkins, & squashes provide tons of fun for many of the critters thought the day.
