Special Camp *Once Upon a Time in Africa*
Where do African folk tales come from? What do the stories teach? How do we create a folk tale? In this camp, working with special guest Al Miller, campers will develop short plays from African folk tales, create a new folk tale and then turn it into a play. The play they create will come from observing the animals at Binder Park Zoo and from working with African tales from long ago.
Al Miller is the founder and Artistic Director of the Theater Project in Brunswick, Maine. A native of Battle Creek, Miller has worked in theater for over thirty years. He has been a clown, a mime, a story teller, a director, playwright, teacher and actor. He has taught in New England, New York and Michigan. He has also taught and performed in Poland, Lebanon and Palestine. So don’t miss this unique opportunity!!!
Those attending the AFRICA! camp the same week are encouraged to sign up for camp also.
