IN-SEASON GROUP TWILIGHT TROMPS

Who? Any organized group, including scout, youth, and school groups, ages 4 and up. All participants MUST be at least 4 years old by the date of the program. A minimum of 10 participants (or minimum payment of $120) are required to run the program and a maximum of 30 participants are allowed. 

What? A special way to experience and explore the zoo! Twilight Tromps programs include a live animal presentation, games and activities, and a night hike. Binder Park Zoo’s Twilight Tromps program offers a variety programs for scouts, schools, and groups. A description of each program is listed below.  Scouts, interested in working towards a particular badge?  Contact the zoo to discuss badge options.  Are you interested in a particular subject not listed below?  Custom programs may be available, please contact the zoo for more details!  

  • Nature at Night: How do nocturnal animals see in the dark? What animals only come out at night? Uncover the secrets of why some animals are nocturnal and how they have adapted to survive and thrive at night. Cadette Girl Scouts may work towards their Night Owl badge!    
  • Owl Prowl: Whooos out there? Come search for wild owls at Binder Park Zoo in this exciting nighttime program!    
  • Predators of the Night: Discover how nocturnal carnivores use the night to their advantage and learn all about these ferocious and fearsome predators!
  • Twilight Tails: Listen to stories surrounding the myths of nighttime creatures and through guided exploration, discover the truth about these animals! 

Where? Binder Park Zoo’s East Zoo Grounds. 

When? Programs are available from April 20th-October 7th, 2012. Specific dates are based on staff availability. Programs may start at 8:00pm, 8:30pm, or 9:00pm and last 2 ½ hours. Contact the zoo for more information.    

How Much? $12 per person.

To register: Click here for a printable registration form. Registration forms may be mailed or faxed to the address or number below. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required with registrations and will be subtracted from your final total. Final payment is due two weeks prior to your program. If registering within 2 weeks of your program, full payment is due with registration.

Payment Policy: All payments are non-refundable. Refunds will only be given in the circumstance that Binder Park Zoo is unable to place your group in an available date or if Binder Park Zoo must cancel the program due to low enrollment or other extenuating circumstances. Your same deposit may be used to switch dates, but a $10 processing fee will be charged if it is less than 30 days prior to the date of your previously scheduled program. A $10 late fee is charged for any late final payments. All groups are required to pay for at least 75% of the original number of participants registered when making final payments 2 weeks prior to program and may not go below minimum number.
