ZOO SNOOZE - SCOUT, SCHOOL AND GROUP
The East Side of our Zoo is home to many animals that are Endangered and Vulnerable and take part in SSP’s. What is SSP? SSP stands for Species Survival Plan. Join us and find out what we are doing to help with conservation of animals and nature. Zoo Snooze is an after-hours overnight adventure for anyone ages 6 and up!
Who? Any organized group ages 6 and up; scout groups, classrooms, youth groups, etc. Programs require a minimum of 20 participants (or minimum payment of $900 (without dinner) or $1000 (with dinner)) and can take a maximum of 50 participants.
What? A fun, one of a kind overnight experience! Scout groups may work towards badge requirements, school groups may work towards curriculum requirements, and general programs are also available. Click here for a list of available programs.
Where? Binder Park Zoo’s East Side; guests sleep in a climate-controlled classroom or choose to pitch your own free standing tent (no stakes, please) on our Snow Leopard Lawn.
When? Program begins promptly at 6:00pm and runs until 10:00am the next day (11:00am on Sundays), with bedtime about 11:30-midnight and wake-up call at 7:00am. Zoo Snoozes run year round. In-season Zoo Snoozes run most Friday and Saturday evenings, April 17-October 3, 2015. Select Thursdays are also offered and other dates may be available upon request. How Much? $45 per person in-season*, $40 per person off-season*. (Calhoun, Branch, Kalamazoo and St. Joseph County Scout groups will receive 10% off.) Cost includes:
- Overnight program
- Admission to the zoo the following day (in-season only)
- Live animal presentation
- Late night snack and continental breakfast
- Souvenir cup
- Souvenir patch (children only, adult patches available upon request)
- Nighttime Conservation Carousel Ride
*Dinner is available for an additional charge of $5 per person. Be sure to register with the correct form if your group would like to order dinner. Order forms will be included in your first packet after registration.
**T-shirts are available for a separate fee of $12 each. A t-shirt order form is included in your first packet after registration or shirts may be purchased at the overnight if correct sizes are available.

Registration forms may be mailed or faxed to the address or number below. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required with registrations and will be subtracted from your final total. Final payment is due one month prior to your overnight. If registering within 30 days of your overnight, full payment is due with registration.

Payment Policy: All payments are non-refundable. Refunds will only be given in the circumstance that Binder Park Zoo is unable to place your group in an available overnight or if Binder Park Zoo must cancel the overnight due to low enrollment or other extenuating circumstances. Your same deposit may be used to switch dates if available, but a $25 processing fee will be charged if it is less than 60 days prior to the date of your previously scheduled overnight. A $25 late fee is charged for any late final payments. All groups are required to pay for at least 75% of the original number of participants registered when making the final payment 30 days prior to overnight and may not go below the minimum number.
