Celebrate Our Nation’s Birthday by ADOPTing Bald Eagle Battle Creek, MI, June 23, 2006 –Six years after The United States of America declared its independence, committees were still working to establish an emblem for the nation. In 1782, the finalized Great Seal predominately displayed the American bald eagle, making the bald eagle a treasured symbol of patriotism. Binder Park Zoo encourages patriots to proudly support the enduring symbol of the United States by ADOPTing (Animals Depend On People Too) the zoo’s bald eagles. |
