Story Time at the Zoo
Monkeys and Zebras and Books!  Oh my!  Join Binder Park Zoo for a wild time of reading books, singing songs, teaching fingerplays, and seeing animals.  There is a story time for children ages 18 months to 4 years and price includes one adult. (more info)

F. A. W. N. (3 week series)
First Adventures With Nature

Your program runs the same day of the week for three weeks. Experience the wonders of nature first-hand during an all new F. A. W. N. 3 week series program.  Choose a topic and bring your toddlers ages 18 months through 2 years to Binder Park Zoo.  On the day you choose for three consecutive weeks you and your child will learn about the wonderful world of animals through hands-on education.  Parent and child will interact together experiencing the Zoo’s education animals, making crafts, singing songs and hearing stories.  Each week you and your child will learn new facts and concepts that will build on the previous week’s experience. F. A. W. N. is an excellent beginning on the road of nature awareness!  One adult must attend with each registered child. (More Info)

Nature Steps (3 week series)

Your program runs the same day of the week for three weeks. Now you get more creative learning fun at Binder Park Zoo during an all new Nature Steps 3-week program series.  Choose a topic and join us on the same weekday for three consecutive weeks of hands-on education, with encounters from education animals along with songs, stories, crafts and much more. Each week you and your child will learn new facts and concepts that will build on the previous week’s experience.   One adult must attend with each registered child. (More Info)

Ages: 3—4 Years
Pee-Wee Naturalist (3 day session)

Pee-Wee Naturalist is a three-day camp for children ages 3-4 years old, who are ready to venture out on their own.  Come enjoy the zoo as we explore the nature and wildlife at hand. We will meet a new animal each day, sing songs, listen to stories, create art and play zooper fun games! Children must be completely toilet trained. (More Info)

Grade: Entering K-1st
Discovery Camp (5 day session)

Join the fun and adventure of Discovery Camp. Travel to distant, and not so distant, lands and discover nature’s secrets!  Children ages 5-6 years will get up close and personal with some of Binder Park’s creatures for an entire week. Enjoy a whole heap of fun with crazy games, group activities and crafts. A mid-morning snack will be provided each day. Children Entering K-1st
Critter Camp (one day)

Critter Camp is for campers ages 5—6 years ready to venture out on their own.  Children experience the Zoo’s education animals along with songs, stories, crafts and other activities. (More Info)

Grade:  Entering 2nd-7th
Safari Day Camp (5 day session)

Explore your surroundings on adventurous hikes and scavenger hunts at Safari Day Camp.  Children ages 7-12 will enjoy a whole heap of fun with crazy games, group activities, crafts and awesome field trips.  Children can attend one or two weeks this summer.  Morning and afternoon snacks will be provided. Please bring a sack lunch each day. (More Info)

Adventure Camps (1 day session)

Children entering grades 2-9, do you want to come to Zoo Camp but too busy for a whole week? We have your solution! Join us for one WILD day as we play games, create crafts, experience animal encounters, and create great memories and more. Enjoy a morning and afternoon snack provided by the zoo, bring your lunch and explore what nature has to offer. (More Info)

Grade:  Entering 8th-9th
Jr. Zookeeper Camp  (5 day session)

Do you want to be a Zookeeper?  Here’s your chance to work side-by-side with Binder Park Zoo staff learning the trade and skills of a zookeeper.  You will learn why teamwork, observation, communication and problem solving skills are important for this job.  Find out what techniques are used in training animals.  You may even have a chance to use those new skills.  Join us at Binder Park Zoo and find out if you have what it takes to be a Zookeeper!  Space is limited and camps fill fast!
