Critter Camp (1 day session)
Grade: Entering K-1st

Time:  9:00 am-12:00 pm
$25*    members (children only)
$45      non-members (children only)

Critter Camp is for campers ages 5-6 and entering kindergarten and 1st grades. These one day camps are action packed of fun activities, crafts, songs, a zoo ride and so much more. Come spend a day or the entire week with our zoo staff as we experience nature and the zoo. A mid-morning snack is provided.

Savanna Surprise

Who’s that hiding in the tall grass? Is it a bontebuck or a Thompson’s Gazelle? Come explore savanna animals and find out how they work together to share the same habitat.

Rainforest Adventures

What makes a rainforest? Where does all the water go? Come discover how the soil is like a sponge! Let’s tour the rainforest and find some animal guides to help us learn about the levels of a rainforest. Play the “Acacia Tree” game and Jungle Mania and create your own rainforest to take home.

Shell Power

They lived during the time of the dinosaurs. Some swim and others live on dry land. Some are very small and some are GIANTS! How do they protect themselves from animals with strong jaws? Come discover these fabulous reptiles at Binder Park Zoo.

Rib-bit, Rib-bit, Croak

Hopping, jumping, swimming or splashing…all in the life of a frog! Come meet some slimy, bumpy creatures here at Binder Park Zoo. What is the difference between a frog and a toad? How do frogs stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer? Let’s explore these hoppers as we play frog tag, sing and dance to 5 Little Speckled Frogs and create a frog puppet. This is the Year of the Frog so join us as we learn about these important amphibians!

Whooo’s Out There?

While you’re sleeping at night, who’s out playing in the dark? Come to Binder Park Zoo and see animals that are usually sleeping. These animals will wake up just for you to see them during the day and their special features! So don’t sleep on this one, sign up now to see our sleepy friends.
