Pee-Wee Naturalist is a three-day camp for children ages 3-4 years old, who are ready to venture out on their own.  Come enjoy the zoo as we explore the nature and wildlife at hand. We will meet a new animal each day, sing songs, listen to stories, create art and play zooper fun games! Children must be completely toilet trained.

Growing Up
June 23-25                  PWN-0623

How big will that toad get? What does a fish egg feel like? What happens to the tadpole when he grows up and where did his tail go? Discover how these animals change and grow to be amazing creatures. Become a caterpillar and create your cocoon, be a chick growing into a chicken or a tadpole swimming in the pond! Join us as we create crafts and meet some of our special animals here at Binder Park Zoo and see what they were like as babies and how they have grown.

What’s For Lunch?
July 7-9                       PWN-0707

Mmm…something sure smells good! Let’s see what is on the menu today for our zoo animals! Do the cheetahs and prairie dogs get the same diet? Is a goat a carnivore? Come discover who eats meat and who eats plants. Join us in a monkey biscuit relay, game of “Oh, deer!”, create a special “snack” for the birdies at your house and talk with a zookeeper about what some animals like to eat!

Animals A to Z
July 21-23                   PWN-0721

Armadillo begins with A. Zebra begins with Z. What about Q, R, S and T? Come explore the zoo and our animals on an alphabet hunt. Play L is for Lizard tag and Alphabet Stew. Meet some of our Education animals who may start with K, D or O…or maybe S, P or R? Let’s explore the alphabet and meet some A-mazing animals!

Anyone Home?
August 4-6                  PWN-0804

We’re going on a habitat hunt…is it a desert? No. There’s an elephant…must be a savanna! Do polar bears and lions have the same habitat? Discover where animals live and what they need to survive.

Hide and Seek
August 18-20              PWN-0818

“1, 2, 3…56, Ready or not, here I come!” Animals play hide-and-seek everyday in their natural habitat. Come explore some of their secret hiding spots and find out how they can hide so well! As we go through the zoo we will look for animals that may be hiding! Create a butterfly pin and a colorful paint bag; enjoy games of hide-and-seek (animal style of course), colorful tag and much more! Don’t hide this summer, come on down to Binder Park Zoo and seek us out for 3 days of fun!
