Registration starts March 1, 2015!
The Cheetah Chase is one of the most unique 5k events in Michigan! Kangaroos, wolves and giraffe, to name a few, will be on-hand to watch you run through the Zoo. And, where else can you run a 5k on two continents? You'll start in Michigan and run all the way to Africa and back.

Friday, June 26
Early Packet Pickup - 5pm to 7pm in the Zoo Office
Saturday, June 27
6:45am to 7:45am - Registration
7:30am - Gates to zoo entrance closed to prep for race - be here by 7:30 to park in zoo lot.
8:00am - Gazelle Gallop (5K Run)
Sloth Walk (5K Walk)
Post Race Cool Down
Parking and Shuttle Information
The parking lot gates close at 7:30am, so get here early. We encourage participants to park at the Harper Creek High School and take one of the shuttles to the zoo. These shuttles will run continuously until 7:30am, then will begin shuttling participants back to the high school around 8:30 until 11am. We will also be parking people in the zoo lots, if you can get here before 7am and plan to stay until after 9:30 please park in the upper lot. If you need to leave before 9:30, please let one of our attendants know and you will be parked accordingly. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
About the Cheetah Chase Course
The Binder Park Zoo Cheetah Chase 5K course has a variety of surfaces including asphalt, brick, boardwalk, crushed rock, and grass. There is a combination of up hills, down hills, tight turns and flat stretches throughout the course. Native Michigan woodlands are in abundance along with a wide variety of zoo animals to catch your eye. Highlights also include panoramic views of the African savannah with herds of giraffe, zebra, antelope, and more. This is a truly unique venue for a 5K event. Download Course Map
