REPTILE WEEKEND

August 3 & 4
Saturday 9am to 6pm
Sunday 11am to 6pm

Gather up your little naturalist and slither out to Binder Park Zoo to help welcome back the snakes, snapping turtles and toads for the 29th annual Reptile Weekend event to be held on August 3rd and 4th. One of Michigan’s largest reptile events, Reptile Weekend encompasses a full weekend of fun, entertainment, and hands on encounters with over 100 different reptiles and amphibians from around the world. This fascinating event is geared toward the entire family and is included in the day’s admission.

Reptiles and amphibians are often portrayed as creepy, dangerous and aggressive creatures but contrary to what most people think, reptiles and amphibians play a vital role in our environment and are often shy and reclusive. Visit Binder Park Zoo for Reptile Weekend and learn about the truths and misconceptions. This year’s event will feature several large species such as reticulated pythons, alligator snapping turtles, and hands-on encounters with Al, the Zoo’s giant Aldabra tortoise on exhibit from 11:00am to 5:00pm Saturday and 12:00pm to 5:00pm Sunday.
