Help Mackenzie Bring Mexican Gray Wolves Back to Binder Park Zoo

"When I found out about Phoenix’s passing, I was heartbroken. I cried for a long time. Then I had an idea, “We need to bring wolves back to the Zoo! That should be my Pay it Forward.” So that leads us to here. I feel like everyone, at any age, should have the opportunity to see a wolf in their lifetime, and I want to help make that happen. Though I know that I cannot do it on my own, I need your help. I want to raise money for anything that the Zoo needs to bring the wolves back."

Mackenzie Couch is a 12 year old aspiring zoologist who decided to forego asking for Christmas presents this year in order to raise funds to bring two young, Mexican wolf brothers to Binder Park Zoo!

Mackenzie’s goal to raise $10,000 will help cover expenses for the wolves to travel from California to Michigan, plus necessary upgrades to their exhibit.  Binder Park Zoo is an AZA accredited facility with 20 years of successful participation in the Mexican Gray Wolf Species Survival Plan. The Zoo’s last remaining wolf named Phoenix, died recently at the advanced age of 14.  Mackenzie’s love for Phoenix and her passion for the survival of this endangered species will help bring wolves back to the zoo!  Will you answer the Call of the Wild?
